In 2012, Nike released a special edition "Galaxy" Pack in celebration of the NBA's All-Star festivities in Orlando, which included a number of different space-themed sneakers.
Most notably, Nike released the limited edition "Galaxy" Air Foamposite One which became an instant classic as sneakerheads paid thousands of dollars for the kicks on the secondary market.
As the NBA's All-Star weekend turns to Los Angeles next month, Nike is going back to outer space with an alternate Galaxy Foamposite.
The new galaxy-themed Nike Air Foamposite One, dubbed "Big Bang," features the familiar starry detailing and “Remove Before Flight” red hang tag, though the colorway is much different than the original pair of Galaxy Foamposites.
The Big Bang Foams, which made their debut exclusively at Sneakeasy in Boston last week, are officially scheduled to hit more retailers on February 4th, just before the NBA's All-Star weekend in LA. The kicks will retail for $230.
