Toronto duo 88GLAM have returned with their brand new mixtape "New Mania," their first project since leaving XO Records.

Though Toronto duo 88GLAM was plagued by breakup rumors as recently as the beginning of May, Derek Wise and 88 Camino have once again formed a united front on their latest album New Mania. And while some fans may have been expecting their previously announced sophomore project Close To Heaven Far From God, it seems as if the pair wanted a reset following their departure from XO Records and Republic Records. Now, that reset has arrived by way of a new mixtape, on which the lone feature stems from Yxng Bane.

Musically, there's a healthy mix of sounds to be found throughout, though GLAM understands their wheelhouse and seldom strays too far from it. Early cuts like "Dance For Me" employ a digital bounce, while "Nightcrawler" slinks along beneath uptempo percussion. For the most part, the album's tempo remains relatively fast-paced, with drums never taking a moment to slow down and breathe; of course, this can be either a pro or a con depending on your personal taste. Either way, there's plenty to unpack here, and in some ways New Mania stands as their most confident record yet. Check it out for yourself now.
