Kendrick Lamar and Migos were two of Billboard's biggest hitmakers in 2017.

Billboard recently released their year-end chart round-ups for 2017 and, needless to say, hip-hop artists had a big year. Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Migos, Post Malone, 21 Savage, French Montana and many more had massively successful years, managing to break into a pop/mainstream domain that rap hasn't set foot in in more than a decade. We recently reported that K. Dot scored the hottest album of the year for DAMN., but that wasn't the only chart he was burning up for Billboard.

According to their list of the hottest songs of 2017, Kendrick Lamar's hit single "Humble" was also one of the year's biggest hits, coming in at No. 4 on this particular year-end list. Only Bruno Mars, Luis Fonsi and Ed Sheeran had hotter tracks this past year. He wasn't the only member of rap's upper class to break into the Top Ten, with Migos coming it at No. 6 with "Bad and Boujee." Post Malone's collaboration with Quavo, "Congratulations," hit No. 10 on the list, proving that the controversial rapper had more in his arsenal this year than just "rockstar."

No. 11 through 20 is where hip-hop's rise to prominence really shines through. DJ Khaled scored two Top 20 hits, with "I'm The One" and "Wild Thoughts" clocking in at No. 12 and 18 respectively. Lil Uzi Vert's "XO Tour Llif3," Future's "Mask Off" and French Montana's "Unforgettable" ranked Nos. 13 through 15, while Rae Sremmurd and Gucci Mane came in at No. 19 with "Black Beatles." Finally, The Weeknd's hit track "Starboy" nabbed the No. 20 spot.
