By now, most of you are aware of the secondary story that surfaced about Keaton Jones’ mother Monday and her being an alleged racist, posting with the confederate flag. She also started a Gofundme page, asking people to give her & her family money, which has since drawn a big red flag in the eyes of many. In fact, following this news, one of her GoFundMe pages was shut down altogether, while the other is on hold with nearly $60,000 unspoken for in it according to TMZ.
GofundMe reportedly says "Stand Up for Keaton," is no longer accepting donations. Since Keaton's anti-bullying message went viral over the weekend, the page has raked in $57,031 in donations, but the guy who started it is putting the charity on hold for now. GoFundMe says it needs to contact Keaton's mom, Kimberly Jones, to ensure she's the beneficiary, since the guy who started the page doesn't know her. Unfortunately though, the company hasn't been able to reach her.
In addition to that, there was a second GoFundMe page started by Kimberly herself which solicited money for Keaton's Christmas gifts. However, sources close to the situation say that was immediately shut down by GoFundMe due to fraud concerns, mainly whether it was really started by his mom Kimberly or not.
Regardless of Kimberly Jones’ intention of the GoFundMe pages, there’s definitely no reason for Keaton to be victimized of bullying, and all the celebrities who came to his defense should still stick by their words.
