Prison can stop a man from doing many things, but spitting bars isn't one of them. Evidently, 600Breezy's resolve is yet to be squandered, and it seems as if the G-Herbo spawned "Who Run It" challenge has only stoked the flame. Today, the Chicago lyricist has offered his own take on the widespread instrumental, with one distinguishing factor. The rapper's verse is recorded through a prison phone. That's dedication.
From the jump, Breezy wastes little time in weaving elaborate threats, rapping "these n***s ain't runnin, sit with ya'll mouth, fresh out the weight yard ready to knock yo ass out." While the rapper occasionally falls behind the beat, it's understandable given the distance between man and booth. When he gets going, however, Breezy's menacing vibe adds a welcome layer to his toolkit; there's an undeniable grittiness to this take, which in turn gives it a sense of gravitas. Verses recorded from prison are inherently badass.
