Hate him or love him, there’s no denying the fact that Russ is out here winning right now. The ATL rapper just saw his debut album, There’s Really A Wolf, go platinum, he performed in front of a massive audience at Coachella last week, and he’s taking care of his family all at the same time, having just bought his sister a new Range Rover recently as well. But despite all his success, Russ continues to keep his nose down and remain working on his craft, pumping out new music at a pace his fans most definitely appreciate.
Last week, Russ dropped off a new song called “Since I Was Broke,” and now today he’s back with more heat for the fans called “Basement” featuring buzzing Toronto singer Jesse Reyez. It’s unclear if these releases are part of an upcoming project or just some new new for the fans, but we’re always here some new Russ, especially if it’s with a rare feature.
Available on iTunes, take a listen to the new R&B record and share your thoughts in the comments. Look for Russ in a city near you on his “I See You Tour” as well.
Quotable Lyrics:
Love me like I'm still in the basement (yeah)
Love me like I still haven't made it (yeah yeah)
Who are you if you ever give up? (yeah yeah)
What's real love without slip ups? (hey)
