Following the terribly sad news that hip-hop power couple Nas and Nicki Minaj have called it quits, there's at least some good news coming the Illmatic rapper's way today. According to TMZ, he and ex-wife Kelis have reportedly ended their child custody dispute and reached a new agreement, the parameters of which surround how much time each gets to spend with their 8-year-old son.
The court documents recovered by the gossip outlets put forth some very specific dates that Nas will have some daddy time with Knight. To start, he'll be getting four full weekends over January, February and March. Nas' weekend visits start right after the youngster is done with school on Fridays and last all the way through Sunday night, or Monday night, if it's a long weekend.
The new agreement also makes very clear that neither parent is to popularize Knight using any of their social media accounts, which is a factor that has come into play during the protracted discussions that have gone on between Nas and Kelis about custody for some time. Nas had previously accused his ex of making it difficult to see his son on an even semi-regular basis, adding that she only let him see Knight when it was "convenient for her." The veteran rapper also called Kelis "hostile" in recent court proceedings, so the mere fact that the two have come to some sort of an arrangement is good news in and of itself.
2018 is also the year that many are hoping for a new project from Mr. Jones. Do you think he'll be dropping a single or, better yet, an album? Let us know in the comments.
