Nearly three months to the day after Tyga brought us Bitch I'm The S**t 2, his summer album that many fans saw as a return to form for the rapper, he's bringing consumers yet another batch of new material, this time in the form of a mixtape.
Taking to Twitter to make the announcement, Tyga shared the title, cover art and release date for this upcoming project. Titled Bugatti Raww, Tyga is set to drop this collection of tracks on October 23rd. He'll be collaborating chiefly with DJ Smallz, with no details disclosed insofar as featured artists or even just a track listing. The cover art is very much in keeping with the mixtape's title, showing two sports cars seemingly engaged in some sort of high-speed affair on an undisclosed stretch of highway. Dollar bills blow in the breeze created by the acceleration behind the first car, while the second vehicle stands with its driver's side door open, which doesn't feel like the kind of safe on-road protocol that you'd want to be practicing, especially if cars are zipping past you on either side. At the end of the day, it's an image that conveys exactly what we've received thus far from Tyga in 2017 and, more than likely, what we will continue to hear on this upcoming tape.
The rapper looks to join Future and Gucci Mane as another rapper who's pulled double duty in terms of project releases so far this year. The former, with Future and HNDRXX, set the standard for many emulators, while Gucci Mane put his hat in the ring for consideration as the year's most prolific hip-hop artist with Droptopwop and Mr. Davis. There's no way of telling if Tyga's new tape will help vault him into that kind of company, but the word prolific can certainly be used in association with his name. This impending release, coupled with his supposed truce with his ex Blac Chyna, already has his end to this year looking pretty stress-free.
