Chance the Rapper set to preview new solo music.

Chance The Rapper is still riding the way of 2016's Coloring Book. The album was a monumental step for Chance, earning him critical and commercial acclaim, as well as bringing his career to new heights. While it may have been a while since we've received new solo music from the Chicago rapper, it turns out that he'll be visiting his good friend, Stephen Colbert, to premiere some new music tonight.

Stephen Colbert took to Twitter earlier today to announce tonight's special guest, Chance the Rapper. In the tweet, he also revealed that he'll be premiering some new music. "TONIGHT: @StephenAtHome sits down with the legend that is @chancetherapper before he performs NEVER-BEFORE-HEARD MUSIC." it reads. Both Stephen Colbert and Chance the Rapper have previously worked together on the intro video for the Emmy's this year.

While 2017 has been scarce in terms receiving music from Chance, it's looking like he may be gearing up for something in the near future. The last release we got from Chance was at the end of 2016 with Jeremih, for their collaborative tape Merry Christmas, Lil Mama. While it's been less than a year since that dropped, who's actually going to complain about a new drop from Chance?

There seems to be hints that we'll be getting some new music from Chance in the near future. Earlier this month, photos surfaced of Young Thug and Chance in the studio. The two have previously collaborated on Chance's "Mixtape" off of Coloring Book and their loose single "Big B's" earlier this year. Donald Glover also revealed that the collaborative project between himself and Chance will "probably happen."

Despite not dropping any new solo music recently, Chance has been dominating nonetheless. He took over the summer alongside DJ Khaled, Quavo and Lil Wayne for "I'm The One". He came out during DJ Khaled's set at the iHeartRadio festival along with Quavo to perform the song.

Aside from the good news that has been coming his way, he's also been involved with some legal trouble. Last week, a fan of his sued a concert promoter that held one of his shows after she tripped on an unsecured chain backstage. He also got hit with lawsuit prior to that for copyright infringement. Jazz musician, Abdul Wali Muhammad, claims that Chance sampled a significant portion of his work for the song "Windows." Hopefully, that ends up getting settled soon.
