Cardi B has ascended into what may have been unthinkable territory when she first embarked on a music career: being a female emcee with a number one hit single. Today, the news broke that her major hit "Bodak Yellow" has knocked off Taylor Swift's "Look What You Made Me Do" to take a stranglehold of the No. 1 slot on the Billboard Hot 100. It's definitely record-setting stuff for Cardi, who becomes only the second female rapper to top the chart without a featured artist, the first being Lauryn Hill with her single "Doo Wop (That Thing)" in 1998. She's also the first female soloist to go No. 1 with a debut single without any accompaniment since Meaghan Trainor di it with "All About That Bass" back in 2014. It's a big moment for the former reality TV star and her beau, Migos member Offset, was ready to celebrate it on social media.

The rapper, who recently had himself featured on the new Macklemore track "Willy Wonka," shared his elation via a video that he shared on social media, flexing hard for his boo after she recorded the milestone. "Y'all hos can't f**k with my bitch," he exclaimed, further lending his voice to shine a bigger light on her accomplishment. All those muscled arm emojis should tell you all about the rapper's mood, which I'd categorize as proud AF.

The occasion was definitely a reason to go all out in terms of a celebration, which is just what Cardi did, holding a blowout at the Atlantic Records offices Monday following the official announcement. Lots of champagne was on hand for those in attendance, which gave way to the rap empress addressing the cameras with some on-the-record thoughts about her achievement.  "Thank you everybody. I'm very happy, I'm very honored. Especially because my family's here," she said. "At first, I kept coming to the label like 'why is my shit not playing on the radio? I do not understand what's going on!'. They're like ' you gotta keep working hard to get that big record.' 'oh, I'mma give y'all a record!'"
