BlocBoy JB returns with his new single, "Prod By Bloc."

BlocBoy JB's career has catapulted to new heights in a matter of months. While he's been putting in his work in Memphis for a minute, the release of his Drake collaboration, "Look Alive" helped him garner the attention of some of the biggest artists in hip hop. Aside from climbing to the top on the Billboard Hot  100 with "Look Alive," he tapped 21 Savage for "Rover 2.0" and recently joined A$AP Rocky on the first official single off Testing, "Bad Company." It's safe to say that he's getting ready for a new year. Today, he drops off his new single and video for "Prod By Bloc."

BlocBoy JB holds things down on a solo tip with his new song, "Prod By Bloc." The latest single showcases his talents go past rapping and into dancing and production as well. It's a minimalist beat with simple percussion progression as he bounces all over the beat. Of course, the music video wouldn't be complete without his famous "Shoot" dance that Lil Uzi Vert's been pulling while on stage.

The rapper revealed to FADER that the song came about on a fluke after his producer left his drum machine at his house and he was bored, so he started messing around with it. This might be his first forray into producing, the rapper assured that it won't be his last.

Quotable Lyrics
I got an S.K. with a shank just to tip a n*gga
Beat a n*gga, sweep a n*gga, we don't need them n*ggas
I don't think you n*ggas 'bout none
When I see you in the streets, y'ain't even got a gun
