Kodak Black's performance at the Wild 'N Out Concert in Orlando Saturday Night didn't go over so well with fans, but the rapper has made an effort to explain the less-than-ideal circumstances on Instagram. According to a few fan accounts on social media, Kodak's set didn't go too smoothly, with one attendee claiming he "couldn't even remember the words to his own song," while another blamed technical difficulties, writing "[the] music kept skipping & [the] mic stopped working." A clip from the concert shows Kodak's hit "Tunnel Vision" playing over an empty stage, at which point it seems Kodak has left.
According to Kodak, there are a number of reasons that the performance wasn't all it could've been, but it's not on him. In a post on Instagram, he suggested that his performance was supposed to be a surprise, but promoters had leaked the information ahead of the event. "They leaked my surprise performance 3 times đ âbreached of contract," he wrote. In support of Kodak's claim, a tweet from Nick Cannon on September 20th points to a now-deleted Instagram post in which he announced the performance.
While Kodak could have pulled the plug then and there, the rapper says he went through with the performance and did more than the one song he was contractually obligated to play. âi Compromised !!!!! I Came ! i was pose to only do 1 song i âsortaâ did 3 songs for them well for the âIndividuals,â he said. "wtf else those unappreciative mfâers want?! Fuxâem milk da promo out of itâźď¸"
