Fans have been waiting a fair amount of time for a new album from Shady Records' boss Eminem. We heard he was working on it in October, and we've heard various rumors and random details since, however nothing too concrete.
Now Paul Rosenberg, Em's manager and Shady President, says that Eminem's untitled LP is due out after Memorial Day. Paul confirms that they are "far into the process" of recording Em's eighth studio album, and it is definitely dropping in 2013.
"We fully expect to be releasing a new Eminem album in 2013. He’s been working on it for some time," Rosenberg told Billboard. "It’s safe to say that it will be post-Memorial Day at some point, but we’re not exactly sure when. We’ve got some dates locked in for him to perform live in Europe in August, so we’re trying to see what else lines up."
Paul also detailed other plans for Shady Records in the year 2013, which include releasing an album for Yelawolf, 50 Cent's Street King Immortal, and following solo projects from Slaughterhouse members, the group will re-form to work on a second album. As well, there are plans to re-vamp the label's website.
We will update you as more details about Eminem's anticipated album arrive.
