If you've been a fan of Rick Ross for some time, you may have found yourself double-taking Rich The Kid's label title: Rich Forever. From his popular 2012 mixtape, to his Instagram handle, to his lower lip tattoo, Ross has been using the phrase "Rich Forever" for years, but judging by "Made It," the new collaboration from Rich's The Word Is Yours album, Ross is willing to embrace the overlap in their brands. "N***as singin' Rich Forever, so you know we related," Rozay raps on his verse, before handing off the closing 16 to Rich Forever signee Jay Critch, a promising New York rapper who sounds right at home on the cloud rap-inspired Harry Fraud beat.
This is one of the first verses we've heard from Ross since his health scare earlier this month, though it seems likely it was recorded prior to hospitalization. Though the reports described Ross' condition as dire, he was back to performing within a week and appears to be back in good health. His next studio album Port Of Miami 2 is expected to see release in 2018.
For anyone who hasn't given Ross' Rich Forever tape a spin, you owe it to yourself to check out the beloved project here.
Quotable Lyrics:
I just signed a contract like a Laker
Santorini Greece where I'ma take her
Blue and yellow diamonds like Jacob
Kissin' on me
Can't be smearin' all that makeup
Fuckin' up my beard
The barber see a pay cut
