"I refuse to wait any longer for these organizations to do the right thing."

U.S. gymnast Aly Raisman is reportedly suing the U.S. Olympic Committee claiming they “knew or should have known” about the crimes committed by Larry Nassar under the guise of medical treatment.

Raisman is one of the 250 women and girls to sue Nassar and the organizations he worked with. In her complaint, the six-time Olympic medalist says Nassar sexually abused her at the Karolyi Ranch National Training Center and the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.

"After all this time, they remain unwilling to conduct a full investigation, and without a solid understanding of how this happened, it is delusional to think sufficient changes can be implemented," she said, per NBC News.

"I refuse to wait any longer for these organizations to do the right thing. It is my hope that the legal process will hold them accountable and enable the change that is so desperately needed.”

The lawsuit also blasts the U.S. Olympic Committee for allowing Nassar to continue treating athletes despite the fact that he was disciplined multiple times by the USOC and USA Gymnastics for inappropriate behavior.

In January, Nassar was sentenced to 40 to 175 years in prison after pleading guilty to seven counts of criminal sexual misconduct in Michigan. Last month, he was sentenced to an additional 40 to 125 years after pleading guilty to another three counts of criminal sexual misconduct.
