As the CN Tower stands tall so too does the Toronto rap scene. While Drake's come-up and subsequent superstardom has done wonders for the six, the talent pool runs deep. Today, we're pleased to premiere "Out The Way," the latest banger from Kofi and Pressa. An expatriate of sorts, Kofi found himself moving from T Dot to L.A, as many celebrity aspirants tend to do. Yet the man is not about to forget his roots; "we the north" remains metaphorically carved into his skin.
In an exclusive quote, Kofi opened up about his unfinished business back home. Despite all his accomplishments, if the family's not eating right, it's far from acceptable. "This song is meant to show the world who I am and what I’m here to do," explains Kofi. "Being a Division 1 athlete I’ve already been blessed with a lot of amazing opportunities; it brought me from Toronto to LA. The song is really a reminder that I'm still not comfortable until all my family and friends back home are too."
