Marvel's critically-acclaimed series Jessica Jones will finally debut its second season on March 8th. The streaming giant has recently released the trailer for the latest episodic instalment in the series, which sees star Krysten Ritter returning to the streets of New York City to combat the evil lurking within.
This season will follow Jones as she explores the death of her parents, as well as the mysterious experiments that led to her acquiring her superpowers. The preview clip also hints at her dealing with the trauma of the first season, as her arch-nemesis The Purple Man makes a return to wreak havoc on the streets of NYC. The aftermath of The Defenders, which successfully merged Marvel-helmed Netflix original programs Daredevil, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and Jessica Jones will also somehow factor into this season's narrative.
This latest offering will also retain the narrative and stylistic hallmarks of the show's first outing, including heavy drinking, Jones's biting sarcasm, brawls in dimly-lit halls, as well as private-eye investigations.
Daredevil, Iron Fist and Luke Cage are also set to return this year, but no concrete dates have been announced as of yet. Peep the trailer for Jessica Jones below:
