Earlier this week, Cardi B shared the album cover & release date to her forthcoming debut album Invasion Of Privacy, and now we have a new offering from it. After warning us to “be up at midnight” on Thursday, Cardi decided to come through today and share the new song “Be Careful.”
Over production from Vinylz, Boi-1da, and Frank Dukes, Cardi gets a few things off her chest & calls out her man (presumably Offset here) over his infidelity. “I wanna get married, like the Curries, Steph and Ayesha shit,” she raps. “But we more like Belly, Tommy and Keisha shit / Gave you TLC, you wanna creep and shit/ Poured out my whole heart to a piece of shit.” She later warns him to not mess with heart on the chorus. “It’s not a threat, it’s a warning/ Be careful with me,” she sings, while stealing the lyrics from Lauryn Hill’s “Ex-Factor.”
Following up "Bodak Yellow" & "Bartier Cardi," take a listen to the new release and let us know what you think! Does Carti have another hit on her hands? (Single available on iTunes)
Quotable Lyrics:
Be careful with me
Do you know what you doin'?
Whose feelings that you're hurtin' and bruisin'?
You gon' gain the whole world
But is it worth the girl that you're losin'?
Be careful with me
Yeah, it's not a threat, it's a warnin'
Be careful with me
Yeah, my heart is like a package with a fragile label on it
Be careful with me
