Nicki Minaj Burst Onto The Scene With "Itty Bitty Piggy"

We may look back at "Itty Bitty Piggy" as Nicki Minaj's character defining performance. In 2009, Nicki dropped her fan favorite Beam Me Up Scotty under the watchful eye of Lil Wayne, who was at the peak of his second phase as a rapper. On "Itty Bitty Piggy," Nicki completely co-opts Weezy's knack for punch lines with a set of working principles inherently her own. 

"Itty Bitty Piggy" is also quite possibly our first encounter with Nicki Minaj's canon of ideas and broad cultural references. In a matter of minutes she alludes to fairy tales, make-up concealer, Vienna sausage, American Association football, and that's only half the list in short.
