50 Cent has been making headlines lately more for his social media antics and television ventures than for his musical output, but thankfully that looks to be changing soon. Last week, 50 Cent teased an upcoming single with Gucci Mane called “On Something,” and now today he’s back with another one. Taking to his Instagram page Monday night, Fif teased another upcoming single with Chicago singer Jeremih called “Still Think Im Nothing.”
Along with sharing the single’s artwork, Fif also gave fans & followers a full, 60-second preview of the upcoming record, allowing listeners to get a strong direction of the record’s sound. Over the Bongo By The Way production, Jeremih handles the hook, while 50 spits some heat about growing up in the streets & selling drugs. “If I ever said fuck you nigga I meant to, when you come up how I came up life’s not gentle/ See that tear in my momma eye, that meant the rent due/ I prayed on it, God didn't say nothing back/ So that cocaine you had, we turnt that to crack,” 50 spits.
Unfortunately he didn’t inform us when we could expect to hear the collab, but he did say to be patient. “Please be patient (perfection) I'm Coming. Listen to my demo, I think I can make it!!! #50centralbet,” his IG caption read.
The whereabouts of the upcoming single is unknown as well, but if it’s going to live on a project than the long awaited Street King Immortal album should be next up for the NYC veteran. When that album will arrive is anyone’s guess, but we’ve been waiting years already for it and with Fif’s focus rightfully on his business ventures & television shows, it’s probably still months away if had to guess.
While we wait for the single to arrive, check out the preview & artwork (below), and let us know what you think! Sounding fire or nah?
