Deadpool 2 continues to up the ante and drum up excitement for the sequel film, following the information that the scheduled release of the movie would be pushed up two weeks earlier than expected -- May 18th.
Today Ryan Reynolds has hopped on twitter to give fans another look at what to expect from the anticipated anti-super hero movie as it were. He not only shared a new trailer for Deadpool 2, but a new poster, which, similar to previous posters, is a humorous nod to an iconic moment in the past. The poking-fun poster recalls the 1983 movie Flashdance, with Reynold's character, Deadpool, passionately lifting himself up off a chair while a stream of bullets rain down on him.
In the new trailer, Deadpool gives fans a dose of his sarcasm with some light narration for the audience's benefit. In what first begins like any other ol' action film trailer, Reynolds' voice soon intervenes to mock the visual effects, before attempting to recreate the scene himself using action figures. The live action is back on track though, once the microwave is done cooking his food.
The description that comes along with the trailer and breaks down the film's plot reads:
"After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover."
