Patrick Paige II is one to watch.

The Internet's bassist/producer is stepping into the limelight with his own debut project. Patrick Paige II will be releasing his own solo tape, Letters of Irrelevance, on May 18th and in light of the news, he's released a single featuring Syd and Kari Faux.

“On My Mind/Charge It to the Game" is an ode to his little sister "designed to write a verse" because he doesn't "know how to communicate" after the passing of their mom.

“I wrote this song for my sister sometime a couple years ago,” Patrick said, via Fader. “During our falling out for the first year and a half after our mother’s passing, things were pretty rough between us. I didn't know how to talk to her about how I felt and often times I was honestly too upset to want to talk to her, and vice versa, so I wrote it out and tried to express everything I could the best way I knew how at the moment. Thankfully, we're in a better place now. She hasn't heard the song, seen the video, and I haven't told her about it. I want it to find it's way to her."

Listen and let us know what you think.

Quotable Lyrics

And keepin' up your grades
