North Carolina's homegrown product J.K. The Reaper shares a story that came to him in the wake of an acid trip. J.K. made a habit out of drinking through his problems, but not for a lack of confidence. Those indulgent qualities come in spades on his debut Digital Tears.
The album's first cut "Emulate" entraps the listener in a virtual sketch drawing, and from there J.K has our attention through a series of personal anecdotes. "Purple & Pink" tells the story of his 17 year old self falling in love for the first time, and of "her" not so distant memory giving him fits up to this day. It's moments like these which allow J.K. to step back into his wheelhouse.
Digital Tears features production from Ronny J, Finatik & Zak, Promnite & Mr. Carmack. On a deeply personal level, J.K. has chosen to establish himself without any guest verses that would have likely taken away from the authenticity of the experience.
