NAACP plans protest for tonight's College Football championship.

Tonight the college football playoff concludes with an all-SEC championship game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, featuring the No.3 Georgia Bulldogs and the No.4 Alabama Crimson Tide.

Ticket prices for tonight's national title game are soaring at the moment, as fans from both sides as well as celebrities prepare for what should be an exciting finish to the college football season.

Among those who are going to be in attendance for the game is President Trump and his wife Melania. According to Greg Bluestein of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Trumps will be in the building and will be hosted by Georgia native Nick Ayers, who is Vice President Mike Pence's chief of staff.

As a result, several groups, including the NAACP, have planned protests at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The New York Post reports that the NAACP is encouraging those attending the National Championship game to wear white and hold anti-Trump signs. Wearing white is apparently meant to mock the “snowflake” label that Trump’s supporters made popular.

“Trump has made a terrible decision and is disrupting (the game) with his presence,” the NAACP’s local chapter said in a Facebook post on Sunday. “We respect those who choose to do so, and we fully expect some groups who will be protesting outside the game.”

“We are presently working with a number of civil rights/social justice organizations and we will share additional plans as appropriate,” the NAACP said.

Per the New York Post, other planned demonstrations include,

"Another group says demonstrators will “take a knee” before the big game to protest President Donald Trump’s visit to Atlanta."

"Another group, Refuse Fascism ATL, says that before kickoff, they’ll “take a knee against Trump” outside CNN’s world headquarters, in solidarity with athletes who have knelt during the national anthem to protest racial injustice."

Tonight's national championship game is scheduled to kick off at 8:00pm ET and will air on ESPN.
