Eminem was recently scheduled to headline some big festivals in the UK this summer, and it looks like the first single off his new album may also have a British flavor to it. The Detroit rapper will reportedly sample a song by up-and-coming UK songwriter Jamie N Commons on the single for his forthcoming 8th LP.
The Sun reports that the song is "scheduled to be Eminem’s big single this summer when he headlines the Reading and Leeds festivals in the UK.” It seems that the co-sign will likely have a similar effect as Em's classic single "Stan", which introduced collaborator Dido to a whole new audience. “Jamie already has a good buzz around him in the music industry but now Eminem’s endorsement of him is a huge deal," a source told the paper.
While not much information is known of the legendary rapper's upcoming album, we do know he'll also be collaborating with No I.D. "I definitely sat down and spoke with Eminem about working and we agreed to get in the studio and see what we could do" the Chi-town producer revealed back in September.
Time will tell if the song will dominate the summer the way Em's previous collabo with hitmaker Rihanna did in 2010.
