Following his win last night at the Golden Globe Awards, Aziz Ansari celebrated his victory with a good old fashioned burger from renowned fast food restaurant In-N-Out. The Master of None actor was clutching his newly awarded trophy last night when entering the restaurant, and even stopped for a photo-op with both his Golden Globe and a take-out bag from the burger joint. Ansari posed for a photo with his costar Eric Wareheim, and perfectly encapsulated the actor's distinct and wonderfully unconventional status as a Hollywood celebrity.
Ansari's post-Globes antics mimic that of Oscar winner Hillary Swank, who similarly indulged in some good old greasy grub from In-On-Out Burger after her Best Actress Oscar victory for Million Dollar Baby.
Furthermore, Ansari's unorthodox and amusing celebration come as an antidote to the more serious climate presiding over last night's awards show, as many found an opportunity to address the recent barrage of sexual abuse claims that have been plaguing the workplace. Oprah used her platform to address the widespread social pandemic in a moving manner, while the red carpet was clothed in a sea of black as a sartorial allegiance was formed to raise awareness for the Time's Up movement.
