We visited Stalley's clothing line launch in Chicago and shot him a few questions about the clothes.

Stalley has his music style and sound down pat, and he is now expanding his repertoire to include clothing design. The bearded rapper launched his line, named after his movement, Blue Collar Gang, in Chicago at an event at Villa Lab. HotNewHipHop was on the scene to document the launch and get a few words with the man himself about the new line.

Stalley explained the name, Blue Collar Gang, and what it means to him, as well, he detailed what the line offers as of now.

“Right now it's just hoodies, crew necks, raglans, t-shirts, just the basics,” Stalley continues, “What it does stand for is representing people like us, the everyday hard-working, the 9-5ers, the college kids, the high school kids, people that workin' and ain't asking for hand-outs. I just wanna make something stylish, something simple, something to give back to the community. Everything is affordable and inexpensive.”

Although Stalley says it's just “the basics” right now, you can expect a lot more from Blue Collar Gang in the near future: “We got button-ups, and oxfords, and chinos, we got a lot of stuff coming.”

Stalley and HNHH interviewer Jeff Baraka continued to compare Stalley's movement with the recent Presidential election, and Mitt Romney's failed campaign. The conclusion? It's bigger than just the music. “It's so much bigger than hip-hop,” Stalley says, “and the clothes have a message just like the music does. It reflects us, our style, our individuality, and that's what it is.”
