A couple weeks ago, 2 Chainz, YG & Offset shared a few photos of them & their mothers shooting a video for their collab “Proud,” which 2 Chainz says was one the best days of the year. "Yesterday was amazing, I wish my pops was here but I know he looking down," 2 Chainz said in his post of a behind-the-scenes pic on Instagram. "It is the most genuine smile I have had all year,” he added, and now the final product has arrived. After warning us just hours earlier, 2 Chainz’s new video for “Proud” with YG & Offset has officially surfaced online tonight.
The 2 Chainz-directed video makes perfect sense given the track’s concept, which is all about making mama “Proud.” It finds the mothers of each rapper dressing like their boys & spitting their respective verses throughout the hood. It’s in support of Tity Boi’s The Play Don’t Care Who Makes It EP, which dropped last month.
