He dedicated "Numb / Encore" to the late Chester Bennington.

While in the UK for his performance at Meadows 2017, Jay-Z stopped by BBC Radio 1 for a performance and interview. The clips from his visit to the network are now available to watch online.

Hov performed "Family Feud," a highlight from his 13th studio album 4:44, which he'll head out on tour in support of next month. He was assisted by a choir who recreated the lively sample. He also revisited his Collision Course track "Numb / Encore," which he dedicated to Chester Bennington, the lead singer of Linkin Park who took his own life in July.

In the interview portion of Jay's appearance, he was asked about how he feels about the current state of America under Trump, specifically as someone who is in the process of raising a young black family. "I'm looking forward for what's next after that," he said. "Usually when things are darkest, it's when light is on its way. I'm not fearful. I believe we're resilient. Especially black people, we've been through so much more than this guy. I'm looking at him, like this is a joke. I can't even say with all due respect -- with all disrespect. He's not a very sophisticated man. Until everyone's free, no one's free. If you oppress a certain people, everyone's in danger."

On a lighter note, Jay also spoke of his Game Of Thrones fandom, admitting that he pirated an episode in anticipation. "I feel guilty. I stole a little episode... they leaked the episode," he said. "But I was coming on the plane, I think I deserved that. I was flying on a plane, I watched an episode. What you want me to do? People bootleg my album.... I'll watch Sunday and give them the ratings thing. I'm not gonna do them like that, but I watched it." We already knew Jay was a big fan of the show after it was reported that he bought Beyoncé a dragon egg from the set in 2015.

Jay-Z will reportedly headline a hurricane benefit concert alongside Beyoncé next month. Roc Nation artists are expected to make appearances at the show. Find details here.
