Just weeks after announcing his new deal with Epic Records, Peruvian-American artist A.CHAL decides to come through today and share a new video for his bilingual On Gaz record “Cuanto” featuring A$AP Nast.
Directed by Dexter Navy, the video, which A. Chal is absent from, finds a group of kids being mischievous in the slums of a poverty stricken hood. From hi-jacking cars & robbing people to setting things on fire & running in the open fields, these kids live one wild & rough lifestyle. It follows up his latest remix to “Love N Hennessy” with 2 Chainz & Nicky Jam.
"The inspiration of the visual has to do with what GAZI is: first/second generation immigrants trying to figure it out in a new society with new norms,” A.CHAL said. “We were inspired by a group of notorious young bandits from Peru known as the Pirañatias, as well as visuals of Pirañas eating goldfish. Symbolically it’s the underdogs trying to survive by any means, even if looked down on by everyone around.”
Check out the official video (above) and be sure to show your support on iTunes. Look for his upcoming Epic Records debut to be dropping later this year as well. Stay tuned.
