Following the release of his platinum-selling DAMN. album, Kendrick Lamar confirmed rumors that the album was indeed intended to also be played in reverse order. “I think like a week after the album came out, [fans] realized you can play the album backwards,” the TDE rapper said back in August. “It plays as a full story and even a better rhythm. It’s one of my favorite rhythms and tempos within the album. It’s something that we definitely premeditate while we’re in the studio.”

Capitalizing off this insanely cool & creative feature, Kendrick has decided to re-release the album as a collectors edition today, and presenting the tracklist in reverse ordered. The same features remain on the project with Rihanna, Zachary, and U2 making appearances.

“I don’t think the story necessarily changes, I think the feel changes,” he told MTV News about the reverse album. “The initial vibe listening from the top all the way to the bottom is...this aggression and this attitude. You know, 'DNA,' and exposing who I really am. You listen from the back end, and it’s almost the duality and the contrast of the intricate Kendrick Lamar. Both of these pieces are who I am.”

With “Duckworth” leading off and “Blood” closing things out, stream Kendrick’s DAMN. album in reverse order (below), and cop the re-release right here on iTunes.
