R&B singer Gallant has been relatively quiet since he dropped of his well received Ology album, which ended up earning him a Grammy nomination in 2017 for Best Urban Contemporary Album. Having spent the past few months working on new music, presumably for his next body of work, the Maryland artist decides to return to the scene today and share the first taste of whats to come by dropping off the new song “Gentleman,” which he had been teasing on social media the past couple days.
Available on iTunes, listen as Gallant delivers a slow-burning ode to all the “gentleman” and good guys doing it right in this follow up ballad to “Overload” with John Legend. Hit play and let us know what you think. (Look for a music video to be coming soon.)
Quotable Lyrics:
You know its winter somewhere
But it's Spring time right here
You need me to water the grass before it all disappears
You said your sick of her school shit
You need a college degree
So you took all your frustration to me
Tell me have you ever had a gentleman?
