Just hours after losing to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII, Patriots star Tight End, Rob Gronkowski, returned back to his home in Massachusetts on Monday to find out that his house was allegedly broken into.
According to multiple reports, including ESPN & Boston 25 News, Foxboro police were called to Patriots tight end’s house this evening for a reported burglary. The local news report states that officers arrived at the home shortly after 6:00 p.m. and stayed for about five hours.
A Foxboro Police rep said that he could not confirm the reports but that a news release/ statement on the subject would be coming in the morning. For what it’s worth, Gronkowski lives just a few miles from Gillette Stadium, where the Patriots returned late Monday afternoon after spending that past week in Minnesota for the Super Bowl.
There’s a little information on the break-in, like the severity of it, but we’ll probably know more come the morning hours.
This report comes just hours after Gronk made headlines on Monday for his comments made about possible retirement. "I don't know how you heard that," Gronkowski said to reporters when asked if he was considering retirement, "but I mean I'm definitely going to look at my future, for sure. I'm going to sit down the next couple of weeks and see where I'm at.”
We’ll continue to keep you posted on both the alleged break-in & Gronk’s future moving forward. Stay tuned.
