Karrueche Tran, star of the TV series Claws, stopped by Hot 97 in New York to chat with the Ebro in the Morning crew on their morning show. Throughout a discussion that touched on her acting career and how much she continues to grow in that department, as well as her success in leading a life with as few negative vibes as possible, it seemed like Karrueche wasn't necessarily planning on revisiting any tabloid fodder that she's been a part of in the past. However, when she was asked about the restraining order she was granted against former boyfriend Chris Brown, she gave a brief but honest answer on the matter. In her mind, it wasn't meant to cause any drawn-out drama, only to look out for her safety.
"I'm always positive and I'm just focused, more than ever right now, on work," Tran said initially. "That's just the goal for me. There's no drama or anything like that. I do have the [restraining order] in place. We live our own lives and that's how we move." Apparently, she wasn't left with another option but to file the restraining order. "It just got to a point where it's just like, I can't. Just to make sure. And I live in L.A. I'm from L.A. So I move around how I wanna move, you know what I'm saying? So that's what I felt that I needed."
Meanwhile, other facets of the TV star are beginning to blossom as well. "I have a makeup collaboration out with ColourPop that's been doing really well," she added. "And then of course there's, like, modeling. I have this amazing platform that I want to utilize in the right way, so if the opportunity comes where it's a makeup collaboration or a clothing line or an acting role, whatever it is, if I feel that it's right, then let's do it." It's the kind of forward momentum in her career that means she won't be having regrets about past events in her life. "I'm confident and I’m comfortable with who I am today," she said. "If I were to change anything in my past, I wouldn't be who I am today and I'm totally content with that."
