Earlier this week, we found out that Drake was a pretty huge Harry Potter fan, and it seems he's also an appreciator of the insanely popular Netflix series Stranger Things. Friday Night, Drake posted a photo of himself and Millie Bobby Brown, the actress who plays the telekinetic Eleven, showing the two throwing up their palms in homage to the character (without the nosebleed of course). Never one to back away from a pun, Drizzy captioned the phoo "Hawkins Very Own."
Brown also posted a photo of the two on her own Instagram, showing that the fan moment was mutual. As we've seen in the past, the young actress is a follower of rap, performing Nicki Minaj's "Monster" verse last year on Jimmy Fallon, and returning again in 2017 to do a Stranger Things parody of Cardi B's "Bodak Yellow."
Needless to say, fans of both Drake and Brown were excited about the photo.
Earlier this week, Drake announced that he would "take six months or a year to [himself] and do some great films." The rapper, of course, was himself a child actor, starring in the popular Canadian series Degrassi: The Next Generation. In his recent conversation with Entertainment Weekly, he refelcted on his entrance to show business. "Obviously, everything's for a reason. I met this kid whose dad was an agent. I got the audition for Degrassi," he said. "And I started going to a school for kids with outside commitments [in the arts and sports]. I met a lot of people from a different [more economically diverse] side of the city. My friends changed at that point, and I started coming into my own and finding myself." One of Drake's next projects is reviving UK series Top Boy for Netflix. He also has plans to develop content with Anonymous Content, the production house behind Spotlight and Mr. Robot, film studio A24 and Apple.
