Since the releases of Lemonade and 4:44, it's been well-documented that Jay-Z and Beyoncé have had their marital struggles, particularly as it relates to Mr. Carter's infidelity since they've been husband and wife. However, they learned to move on and move forward in their relationship and, as People is reporting, their daughter Blue Ivy was a big reason why.
An insider familiar with the situation has noted that, despite the cheating scandal that rocked the couple's seemingly idyllic world, they're still in love with each other, at least in part, thanks to Blue Ivy. “It was very rough for them to stay married,” the source said. “It took Beyoncé a long time to trust again. She was struggling to move on and forgive. But keeping her family together was very important.” The long road to get where the couple is now took a lot of work both Jay and Bey's part.
“If it’s wasn’t for Blue Ivy, they might not be together,” the insider added. “It took them years to get to the point where they are now.” After the birth of their new children this year, twins Rumi and Sir, it's clear that both music superstars have refocused their efforts on making family an even bigger part of their lives.
Jay-Z might be trying to mend another relationship that went sideways on him with Kanye West. During a recent tour stop in Chicago, Hov shouted out the Windy City native while he was on stage, giving further credence to what Jay said in his New York Times interview - that there is real, genuine love that still exists between the two rappers.
