Watch Logic & Alessia Cara perform their suicide prevention record on The Ellen Show Wednesday.

Logic's album Everybody is having a major resurgence nearly a half-year after its initial release this past spring, due in large part to the recent success of the single “1-800-273-8255,” which recently earned him a spot in the top 10 Billboard’s charts following his performance at The MTV Video Music Awards. Looking to promote the record and give it an added boost, Logic made his way by the NBC studios on Wednesday and performed the record on The Ellen Show.

With a live band & choir backing him up, Logic, who’s rocking a new shaved head, performed his new record with assistance from featured guest Alessia Cara. Touching on the subject matter of the song, Logic reminds everyone that suicide is never the answer to anyone’s problems. He wants people to know that there is always help available, like the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, whose phone number is the title of this song “1-800-273-8255.” In fact, the song was released in partnership with the NSPL.

Logic revealed that the lyrics are gleaned from real-life encounters with fans. "[...] fans that I met randomly, they’ve said things like, 'Your music has saved my life. You’ve saved my life.' And I was always like, 'Aw so nice of you. Thanks,'" the emcee explained. "And I give them a hug and shit but in my mind, I’m like, 'What the fuck?' [...] And then it hit me, the power that I have as an artist with a voice. I wasn’t even trying to save your life. Now what can happened if I actually did?"

Check it out (above) and be sure to show your support on iTunes. I've also included Logic & Alessia’s sit-down chat with Ellen (below) as well, where they talk about the importance of their collab among other things.

In other related news, Alessia Cara is coming off the release of a super dope rendition of SZA's CTRL cut "Drew Barrymore," which spawned a response from the TDE first lady on Twitter last month. "You make me really happy ..your artistry is so effortless, honest and impressive. Thank u," SZA tweeted out. If you missed it last, check out that cover and record right here.

reposting my bro young thug tha Trashmans story : unny story. Drake and me were driving around Toronto listening to Take Care 2 in the foreign whiparooni he purchased for me, when we seen what looked like a trash truck. When we creeped closer, it turned out it was the man himself: Trashman. He was sitting outside of McDonald's on his 3rd gen ipod Touch. Drizzy Rodgers being the GOAT he is, sprayed that fool, and Trashman trembled when he heard Drizzy's god-level vocals
