The Ball family is done with UCLA. Just days after LaVar Ball pulled his 19-year old son LiAngelo out of UCLA, he announced that both LiAngelo and 16-year old LaMelo, have signed on with Lonzo's agent, Harrison Gaines.
LaMelo had already committed to UCLA for the class of 2019, but now that he signed an agent he won't be playing for the Bruins at all.
According to ESPN's Jeff Goodman, LaVar's plan is to now get LiAngelo and LaMelo on the same team overseas.
"I don't care about the money," LaVar Ball said on Thursday morning. "I want them to go somewhere where they will play them together on the court at the same time. The priority is for the boys to play on the same team."
The reports suggests several teams in Europe and Asia have expressed interest in signing the Ball brothers, though it's unclear what the offers are. LaVar plans on travelling with the boys wherever they end up, and says two of their uncles will also be taking the trip and keeping an eye on them as well.
"I don't know the deals and who is offering what," Ball said. "I'm letting Harrison handle all that, but I know there are a few teams interested. I just need to get them playing again."
"There will be three people with them all the time," Ball said. "I'll go back and forth and probably stay out there a while at first."
LaMelo is widely considered to be a more valuable prospect than his older brother LiAngelo and is (was) among the Top-10 players for the Class of 2019.
