Plies says he believes Elon Musk purchased Twitter and rebranded it as X in an effort to influence the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election. He explained his thinking in a post on the platform, last week. He says that as Donald Trump continues to fall behind in the polls to Kamala Harris, the billionaire is going to manipulate social media.

Musk has been supportive of Trump throughout his latest campaign for the presidency. At a rally in Georgia earlier this month, Trump remarked: “I’m for electric cars. I have to be because, you know, Elon endorsed me very strongly. So I have no choice.” Then, last Thursday, he held a press conference at Mar-A-Lago where he revealed: “Elon called me, as you know he endorsed me full-throated, a great endorsement. I respect Elon a lot, he respects me. He told me he is going to have a show Monday, I think Monday night, and he invited me so it’ll be very interesting. A lot of people are talking about it.
