Tracee Ellis Ross is a multi-talented individual. She's an actress, comedian, host and model. While she became even more prominent in the media over the past few years, her social media also became another source of entertainment. One side of her that we've come to appreciate through her Instagram is her rap alter ego "T-Murda". She's used Instagram and Twitter to share videos of her rapping along to some of the hottest rap singles. Now, she brings out her rap persona for a special episode of "Carpool Karaoke."
Tracee Ellis a.k.a T-Murda recently linked up with Big Sean for a new episode of "Carpool Karaoke." The two of them to do a remix of Big Sean's biggest hit "Bounce Back." While Tracee's rap career has predominantly been built through rapping the songs of others (i.e. Young Thug), she took the opportunity to showcase her own bars. Ross and Sean got in the studio where Tracee pops in a pair of custom grillz with her name on it before putting the rap game on notice.
"Don't call me Tracee, it's T-Murda/Rhymes like a subpoena, about to serve ya/Big Sean raised the bar, I raise it furtha/ Spitting verses ears ain't never heard of... But I'm keeping it PG because I'm an aunt." Ross warms up before she really started flexin'.
"You know me as an actress/First on Girlfriends, now I'm on black-ish/I see you eyeing my fashion/It's Zuhair Murad—thanks for askin'/My smile's big, that's my passion/Natural hair...big, so it matches/Haters? Nah, no distractions/Got that Golden Globe winner status," she raps before ending the verse with "Feminist like a boss, hun/My mom is Diana Ross, son."
Now that we've seen the chemistry between Tracee Ellis and Big Sean in the studio, hopefully we get an official remix with T-Murda or even an original collaboration.
Last week, she teased the episode on Instagram with a clip of her and Big Sean doing a dramatic reading of "Work It" by Missy Elliot, which is also in the latest episode of "Carpool Karaoke."
