Ben McAdoo considering "drastic" changes.

The NY Giants fell to 0-2 on the season two nights ago after a 24-10 loss on Monday Night Football at the hands of the Detroit Lions.

For the first time in NY Giants history, the team lost each of their first two games by 14+ points, and they have scored just 13 total points through the first two games which is the fewest since 1947 when they only scored seven. The loss to Detroit marked the eighth consecutive game that the Giants scored fewer than 20 points.

Needless to say, some changes are needed.

NY Giants head coach Ben McAdoo said as much after the team's loss on Monday night, and he's considering giving up his play-calling duties.

Per NJ.com

"We can't keep doing the same thing over and over again. That's insanity. It's not working," McAdoo said. "So we're going to look to make some changes this week, like we did last week, maybe a little bit more drastic this week, to use your word.

"If that means me giving up play calling duties, that's something that [the offensive staff will] look at, that we'll talk about."

The Giants are currently 28th in the NFL in total offense. The offensive line is a major issue and Eli Manning has constantly been under pressure, including being sacked five times against the Lions. Not to mention, Odell Beckham Jr. is still recovering from his injury. In Beckham's season debut in Week 2 he caught just four passes for 36 yards.

Eli Manning has accepted blame for the offense's lackluster performance thus far.

Per the New York Post

“Hey, you lose a game, you only score 10 points you deserve some criticism,’’ Manning said Tuesday on WFAN. “I know Coach McAdoo knows I can handle it. That’s part of playing quarterback. You can’t be sensitive in this field. You’re a quarterback in the NFL, there’s gonna be tough days and there’s gonna be tough times and you got to be able to handle the fire on game day and afterwards. That’s just part of the deal.’’

The G-Men will travel to Philadelphia for a matchup with the Eagles this Sunday, in search of their first win of the season.
