It's been a while since we got some music from DMX. While his legal troubles have made more headlines than anything else, he's still out here working. The rapper joins forces with Royce Da 5'9", KXNG Crooked and Statik Selektah for their new collaboration together on "King Kong."
Bring three incredible emcees together on one track produced by a heavyweight and you get "King Kong." DMX, Crooked and Royce deliver some heavy bars alongside Statik Selektah who brings a tough beat to the table. Crooked kicks off the track before X comes through on the hook, delivering some ad-libs as a way to get the tracks energy right. Royce's pen is strongly equipped for the second verse while X closes out the song.
This song is included in the Forever M.C. compilation which is slated to drop on March 30th and includes the song "Terminally Ill" with Tech N9ne, KXNG Crooked, Chino XL, Rittz and Statik.
Quotable Lyrics
We the fuckin' money team
Read it and weep
Ask me why I'm leavin' the D
I'm bobbin' and weavin' the heat
