Last week, rookie QB DeShaun Watson had his season come to an end when he suffered a torn ACL during a non-contact play at practice. The injury was disheartening to say the least for Watson, who was on his way to a “Rookie Of The Year” campaign, and leading the Texans to a possible playoff contention. Several fellow NFL players sent their well wishes to Watson, including Giants star WR Odell Beckham Jr., who told him to keep his head up.
"Lil bruh I know at this time things may be scary. Your first year in the league; running for MVP; trying to win a championship, trying to get the spot you deserve, to defy the odds, to do the things they said you can't, and it all gets taken away. Look back in life to when you faced adversity and thought you would not overcome it, and then you did," Beckham wrote. "As life went on, more and more obstacles came your way that you had to again overcome time and time again, but you got through it somehow. Now life throws you bigger problems and again you're faced with a test.”
But Watson finally did open up about the injury, and said that the injury was just a “small thing to a giant.” “I promise that I will continue to work diligently so that this team can one day bring a championship to Houston, and when I return, I will be better, stronger and more focused than ever before! Now the grind begins.... #815 #Memo GODSPEED. A small thing to a GIANT.”
Well on Wednesday, Deshaun went under the knife to repair his knee, and it looks like he's recovering just fine now. Watson posted a clip on his Instagram stories of him listening to Future & Young Thug’s Super Slimey cut “Drip On Me” while chilling in the hospital bed. And if that wasn’t enough, he had Call Of Duty on the TV too, which reassures he’s doing just fine post-surgery.
