With a new Black Star album possibly on the way, Yasiin Bey and Talib Kweli have respectively been hard at work. The latter is currently promoting his late 2017 album Radio Silence and his single of the same name now has some new visuals. Talib references graffiti in his lyrics at times, making the backdrop of the video seem evidently obvious, and not cliché like in most videos.
The rapper walks around the urban underground, checking out different spray-painted works while a ballerina shows off her skills with duct tape covering her mouth. Citing the title of the track and album, a man walks around with a boombox radio, which brings forth many people toting their radios to pile them up. The video concludes with radio silence as the devices are burned to the ground in a video that is full of hidden meanings to unpack.
