Taking the number 1 spot in quite morbid fashion is the "Deaths in 2017" which chronologically lists every notable death for each of the year's 365 days, creating a timeline of grief and bereavement. The page was viewed a staggering 37,387,010 times throughout the 2017.
Coming in at a close second, with 29,644,764 views is President Donald Trump, who has become the most contested figure in America based on his erratic Tweets, brash public persona and constant battles with the press.
Queen Elizabeth II, and her soon to be granddaughter-in-law Meghan Markle, take up the third and fifth spots on the list, with 19,290,956 and 16,944,130 views respectively. Markle's popularity certainly surged once the former Suits actress became engaged to the world's most famous redheaded royal, Prince Harry.
While Game of Thrones continues it zeitgeist dominance, it also ranks highly on Wikipedia's list, as the page solely dedicated to Season 7 nabs the 4th spot with 18,792,746 views. Selena Gomez produced Netflix Original 13 Reasons Why is also included in the top 10 with 14,934,202 views throughout the last 12 months.
Also included in the top 10 is Bitcoin, which has inserted itself into every notable recent headline, while also scoring 15,026,561 views in 2017.
