Atlanta rapper 550, who happens to be Future's cousin (so you know trapping runs in the bloodstream), recently linked up with 21 Savage for "Radar." The track, which was produced by Yung Lan, is heavy on that dark-trap vibe, driven an ominous minor key chime loop over some relentless percussion. 550, whose name is a homage to the Mercedes-Benz S550, spoke with XXL about the track's origin, stating "“Radar is about staying in your own lane. Don’t try to be something that you’re not. If you're not about that life, then stay off the radar."
It's been a minute since we've heard from 21 Savage, but the Issa Album rapper hasn't lost a step. He's still bringing out that cold, emotionless delivery, that lends itself well to the track's unforgiving vibe. "I put Savage on the track 'cause we been riding in the same lane for years—even before it was a lane," explains 550. His mixtape, Hoodlum, drops tomorrow.
