Philadelphia-bred emcee Kir is a fresh face, having made his debut back in 2015 with the release of his first project Inspiration: Voice of Philly. In 2016, the 23-year old followed it up with his well-received Legendary mixtape and he hasn’t let up on the gas since.
He’s most recently capitalized off his momentum with the release of the music video for his “Trauma” single. Directed by Inferno Productions, the clip follows Kir as he navigates the streets of his hometown, unleashing bars of his come up and the pressure that seems to follow him around.
“Know when I play, we playing for keeps / Boy, I was just starving for weeks,” he raps. “I just got a new Benz, but I gotta keep a .23 stuffed in the seat / In case a hater try to run up on me / Boy, I gotta keep this gun up on me.”
