Now that LaVar Ball has pulled his son LiAngelo out of UCLA, the Big Baller Brand is moving forward with plans to unveil his first signature shoe, the Gelo 3, according to ESPN. Of course, there was never a Gelo 1, or a Gelo 2, but that's not going to stop LiAngelo and LaVar from dubbing his shoe the Gelo 3.
The former UCLA freshman's first signature will add to BBB's growing lineup of sneakers that already includes Lonzo's ZO2 Prime, and 16-year old LaMelo's Melo Ball 1. As of now, there are no further details regarding the Gelo 3, but one would assume they'll carry a hefty price tag just like the aforementioned BBB signature shoes.
LiAngelo, 19, never stepped on the court for the UCLA Bruins this season after he was arrested in China for shoplifting prior to their season opener against Georgia Tech. As a result of his indefinite suspension, LaVar pulled his son out of the school this week and has vowed to make LiAngelo "way better for the draft than UCLA ever could have."
However, several ESPN analysts including Jay Bilas and Adrian Wojnarowski, don't believe there's any chance LiAngelo gets drafted in June. There's also a growing belief that LiAngelo and his younger brother LaMelo, who is now being home-schooled, opt to play overseas in the meantime.
