French Montana's bringing his philanthropic efforts to his home country.

French Montana has grown from a Bronx rapper to an agent of change. Following the release of "Unforgettable," his philanthropic efforts have been put on display. He went to Uganda to film the music video and while he was there, he also helped build a hospital in Uganda that's currently serving 300K people. He was officially dubbed a Global Citizen Ambassador during a ceremony in New York city by the company's CEO Hugh Evans. Now, he's bringing his philanthropic efforts to his home country of Morocco.

French Montana is bringing his philanthropic efforts to Morocca, TMZ reports. The Bronx rapper was actually born in Morocco and moved to the States at 13 years old. With Global Citizen behind him, the rapper will be using his efforts to help enhance the education system in his home country. According to their report, he'll be donating funds for new computers, books and faculty.

His recent status as Global Citizen Ambassador marks him as the first rapper gain that title. The rapper spoke to TMZ on his way to the ceremony and explained why he's been focusing on doing philanthropic work in the past year.

"The whole idea of this is to spark the mind of the world leaders, you know? To help and do something on a bigger scale." He said, "I just feel like all the mothers and children should have the right care. It should never be a privilege, it should be a right."

Along with French, Diddy and The Weeknd have also donated large sums of money towards the Mama Hope initiative.
