"Bodak Yellow" stays on the chart for the third week in a row.

What week hasn't passed over the past few months where Cardi B didn't pop up? It's hard to say. Off the strength of her single "Bodak Yellow", she's been continuously dominating the charts and celebrating as she goes along. However, those efforts weren't done without the amount of hard work she's put in over time. Many appreciate the success she's been getting because it feels like a win for hip hop as a culture. While she received her first number one single a few weeks back, it doesn't seem like her winning streak ends there.

After Cardi B's "Bodak Yellow" hit number one of the charts, she became the first female rapper to land that position without a feature since Lauryn Hill. That in itself is a rare accomplishment that's worth the celebration. Today, she continues her streak for a third week in a row on the top of the charts, meaning that "Bodak Yellow" is the longest running number one single from a female solo emcee since Lauryn Hill's "Doo Wop (That Thing)" in 1998. Chartdata tweeted that "Bodak Yellow" is now tied with Taylor Swift's "Look What You Made Me Do" as the longest running female at the number one spot on the charts in 2017. Interestingly enough, "Look What You Made Me Do" was the song that initially was blocking Cardi B from hitting the number one spot. Cardi might be able to beat Swift's record in 2017 if she maintains on the number one position for one more week. It doesn't seem that difficult considering that the record is still bumping in every direction you go, as if it just dropped last week.

The Billboards aren't the only ones acknowledging Cardi B's efforts. She's currently nominated for 9 awards at the BET Hip Hop Awards that are set to air tomorrow night at 8 p.m. "Bodak Yellow" is nominated for Single of the Year, Best Hip Hop Video and Impact Track. Along with those nominations, she's also nominated for Hustler of the Year, Hot Ticket Performer, Best new Hip Hop Artist, MVP of the Year, Best Hip Hop Style award as well as best mixtape for Gangsta Bitch Vol. 1.

Peep the award show tomorrow to see if she wins big.
